Introduction
The Keskintech Marketplaces plugin is a powerful tool designed to seamlessly integrate with the WooCommerce plugin on WordPress-based websites. It enables you to transfer products from your site to various marketplaces and update product information such as stock, price, and features on those marketplaces.
This plugin allows you to manage your product data quickly and efficiently by reading marketplace template files with .xlsx, .csv, and .xlsm extensions. You can send or update products for each marketplace according to the rules you set. Additionally, you can export templates in xlsx or csv format to easily synchronize with marketplaces.
In the near future, updates will introduce an automatic online synchronization feature to help you update product information more quickly and easily. Keskintech Marketplaces aims to help WordPress sites reach a broader audience in the e-commerce sector and make product management more efficient.
Requirements:
- WordPress Version: 5.8 or higher
- WooCommerce Version: 6.0 or higher
- PHP Version: 7.2 or higher
Installation:
- Download the plugin zip file from here.
- Go to the WordPress admin panel and navigate to Plugins > Add New.
- Upload the downloaded zip file and click “Install Now.”
- After installation, activate the plugin.
Marketplaces
To manage your marketplaces using the Keskintech Marketplaces plugin, go to Wp-admin -> Marketplaces menu. In this section, you can view, edit, and delete existing marketplaces.
By adding multiple marketplaces, you can create specific rules for each and ensure the necessary matches. This allows you to manage and synchronize your products according to the requirements of different marketplaces.
Attention: The Keskintech Marketplaces plugin prioritizes database optimization, so when a marketplace is deleted, all associated matches and rules will also be removed. Therefore, please note that the deletion of a marketplace cannot be undone.
Pricing
In the Keskintech Marketplaces plugin, you can view marketplace prices for products, set different prices for each product across various marketplaces, or create pricing rules for the marketplaces.
The pricing hierarchy for products is as follows:
- You Set the Product Price Yourself: If you specify the product and its price yourself, the marketplace price for the product will be the price you have set.
- Marketplace Rules: If you have not specified the product price for the marketplace yourself, and if you have set up rules for the marketplace that have been successfully applied, the product’s marketplace price will be determined according to these rules.
- Product Site Price: If no action has been taken for the first two scenarios, the marketplace price for the product will be the product’s current price on your site.
Setting Product Price
In this section, you can specify the marketplace prices for your products and set the product fixed values (which can be used in pricing rules). You can filter products using the pagination feature and search bar, and set different prices for each variation thanks to the system that supports both simple and variable products 100%. Additionally, you can perform bulk price updates for multiple products.
When updating product prices, you can view the products you have edited in a list format.
Important: If you want to delete a product’s marketplace price, select the product and click the “Edit Product Prices” button. After deleting the relevant price input, save the changes to remove the product’s marketplace price.
When you update a product price, the date of the last change is displayed in the “Last Edited Date” column. This allows you to track change dates and sort products by their modification dates.
Important Considerations for Bulk Selection:
When selecting multiple products to update prices, if the price you set for the products is the same, the update field will be automatically filled. If the prices are different, the update field will remain empty. Price updates will only be applied to the marketplaces you have made changes to.
Columns that you do not modify will not be updated. Therefore, if you want to delete a product’s price, you either need to select only that product or select it along with other products that have the same price and delete the price.
Marketplaces Price Rules
In this section, you can create separate pricing rules for each marketplace. These rules allow the marketplace prices of products to be automatically calculated based on specific criteria. You can apply operations such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division in any order you prefer. To start creating rules, select the desired marketplace from the menu.
- Base Value: This is the reference value for the first operation in the pricing rule. It can be set as the current site price or a product fixed value. You can specify a product fixed value for each product separately in the “Price by Product” tab.
- Rules: In this section, you can create, edit, and delete addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division rules. Operations are performed according to the sequence of the rules, and the result is determined accordingly.
- Round: You can round the final price result according to the marketplace rules to a specific number. For example, if the price result based on the marketplace rules is 392.30588235294, the rounding options and their results are provided below. The rounding options and results are given as examples:
- Decimal Numbers: The decimal part of the result is rounded and can only have two decimal places. For example, if “90” is entered, the result will be 392.90.
- Ones Place: The result is rounded to a single-digit integer and a two-digit decimal value. For example, if “8.99” is entered, the result will be 398.99.
- The result is rounded from the tens place and can have a two-digit integer value and a two-digit decimal value. For example, if “49.40” is entered, the result will be 349.40.
- Hundreds Place: Since rounding at the hundreds place can significantly alter the price, it should be done with caution. The result can have a three-digit integer value and a two-digit decimal value. For example, if “799.55” is entered, the result will be 799.55.
Settings
In the General Settings tab, you can configure the necessary settings for marketplace integration.
Brand Settings:
Marketplaces require the brand to be mandatory during product entry. Therefore, you need to enable brand settings.
You can specify product brands using two different methods:
- Term: Many WordPress plugins add the product brand as a term. When you select the term option, the term information for your most recent published product will be listed. Ensure that the brand in your most recent published product is correct. Enter the taxonomy information for the row where your brand is located into the “Brand Taxonomy” section. For example, in the Perfect Brands for WooCommerce plugin, the brand taxonomy is set as “pwb-brand.” Fill in this section according to the plugin you are using.
- Fixed Brand: If all products on your site have the same brand, use this option. When selected, you can add your brand by entering it in the “Your Brand” section that appears.
Default “In stock” Value:
For some of your products, you may have entered stock status instead of stock quantity. However, marketplaces require stock quantity to be provided. Therefore, by entering a default stock value, you can ensure that this value is used when transferring products with an “in stock” status from your site to the marketplace. Products with a “Not In Stock” status on your site will automatically be transferred with a stock quantity of 0.
Product Problems Tab::
In this tab, all your products are checked for compliance with marketplace requirements. Issues that must be corrected are marked as errors, while issues where corrections would be beneficial are marked as warnings. It is advisable to review this tab before sending or updating products on the marketplaces.
Matching Fields
In this section, you can map product attributes and brands to match the marketplace requirements. Some marketplaces are case-sensitive and consider spaces when dealing with attributes and brands. To avoid any inconsistencies, we recommend carefully matching all attributes according to the marketplace requirements. This will ensure 100% compatibility during the marketplace integration process and prevent potential issues.
Send Products and Update Products
In these sections, you can upload the product import or update templates (.xlsx, .csv, and .xlsm) downloaded from the marketplaces to export your WooCommerce products according to the criteria you have specified.
- Send Products: Select the marketplace where you want to upload the products in the specified form. Then, choose the file you downloaded from the marketplace and click the “Import Data” button to send your products to the marketplace.
- Update Products: Similarly, you can update your existing products by uploading the product update template. Select the marketplace, upload the relevant file, and click the “Import Data” button to apply the updates.
Sheet Selection
If the template file you uploaded is in .xlsx or .xlsm format, it may contain multiple sheets. In this case, you need to select the sheet where the products are listed. This step is skipped for CSV files.
File and Sheet Check
In this section, you can preview the file and the selected sheet you have uploaded. If you have not selected the correct sheet, you can repeat the sheet selection process. If everything appears to be correct, click the “Start Processing” button to proceed to the next step.
Note: The first row of the uploaded template should contain the column headers. Some marketplaces may use different rows for headers. In such cases, try copying the headers from the original template into the first row of a blank workbook and use that file to restart the process.
Column Matching
In this section, you can place the product features using the drag-and-drop method according to the template you have uploaded. You can match by selecting the appropriate feature for each column.
Fixed Values:
You can manually enter fixed values for all products into the relevant columns. For example, if you write “Women / Girls” in the “Gender” column, this value will apply to all products.
Drag-and-Drop Features:
- Stock Code (SKU): Represents the stock number for a simple or variation product. For sending the product, at least 1 unit must be entered, with a minimum and maximum of 1 unit for updates.
- Main Product SKU (For Variations): If the product is a variation, this represents the SKU of the parent product. It functions as the SKU for simple products.
- Variation Group Code: Some marketplaces require a parent SKU for products with variations and also require variations to be grouped among themselves. You can specify this code in the variations tab on the WooCommerce product page.
- Product Name: For simple products, it is the product name; for products with variations, it is the parent product’s name.
- Product Description: For simple products, it is the product description; for products with variations, it is the parent product’s description.
- Short Description: For simple products, it is the short description; for products with variations, it is the parent product’s short description.
- Attributes: For simple products, they are used directly. For products with variations, values are selected based on the attribute of the variation or parent product. Matching rules are applied.
- Price: This is the marketplace price of the product.
- Stock Quantity: This is the quantity of the product in stock. If the product is ‘In Stock,’ the “Default in Stock Value” is returned.
- Brand: Represents the brand assigned to the product. Matching rules are applied.
- Product Image 1: This is the main product image for both simple and variation products.
- Product Images 2, 3, 4, 5, 6: For simple products, these are the images in the corresponding order in the gallery. For variation products, they are the images in the corresponding order in the marketplace images section.
After matching the columns appropriately, you can proceed to the next step by clicking the ‘Submit’ button.
Select Products
This section is only visible when using the ‘Send Product’ method. You can select the products you want to send to the marketplace in two different ways:
- Send by Category: You can filter products by selecting categories and attributes, then identify and send the suitable products. This option is ideal for sending products in bulk for specific categories.
- Manual Selection: All your products, including variations, are listed in a table format. You can manually select the products you want to send to the marketplace by making multiple selections from this list.
Download File
Congratulations! You have reached the final step of the product sending and updating process. Your WooCommerce products are ready to be downloaded in accordance with the marketplace template file. You can view a preview of the file you will download in the table. Download your file in XLSX or CSV format to prepare it for uploading to the marketplace.
You can upload the downloaded file to the marketplace to complete the product sending or updating process.
Important: To avoid potential errors, it is recommended to copy the data from the downloaded file into the original template file before submission.
